Full-Arch Implants (All-on-X) A fixed set of teeth on four to six implants, for people with failing teeth or full dentures. Provisional teeth on the day of surgery where planned; the final bridge designed after healing. Planned on a 3D scan and placed by Dr Church with an anaesthetist present. Individual results vary.

Digital planning

Cases involving six or more front teeth are planned digitally so you can see the proposed shape and position of the teeth before the final restoration is made.

Sedation Options

Many people put surgery off for years because of fear. Three options, chosen with Dr Church at your consultation — IV sedation and general anaesthetic are delivered by a medical anaesthetist who stays for the whole procedure. Some anaesthetist and hospital fees may attract Medicare or health-fund rebates; we tell you which before you book.

Oral Sedation

A tablet before the appointment

For milder anxiety and shorter procedures. You stay awake but relaxed and drowsy, and can still respond to Dr Church. Someone needs to drive you home. Often combined with local anaesthetic for smaller procedures; for larger surgery, Dr Church will usually recommend one of the two options beside.

IV Sedation

Deeply relaxed, with an anaesthetist present

Sedative medication is given through a drip by a medical anaesthetist who stays for the whole procedure at Seven Hills. Most patients remember little of it. This is how most implant and wisdom teeth surgery is done. Some anaesthetist fees may attract a Medicare rebate; we tell you before you book.

General Anesthetic

Fully asleep, in a day hospital

For complex cases, longer procedures and very anxious patients. Surgery is done at Bond Day Hospital, Bella Vista, with a hospital anaesthetist, and you go home the same day with someone to drive you. Hospital and anaesthetist fees are itemised in your quote; some may attract health-fund or Medicare rebates.
